What this site is for

The Credit Record publishes research and editorial findings about credit repair and debt settlement companies, checked against a standard we've published (see Our standard). It is intended for general informational purposes. It is not personalized financial, legal, or credit-counseling advice, and using this site does not create any advisor-client or attorney-client relationship between you and us.

No guarantee of outcome

A company passing our standard is not a guarantee you'll have a good experience with that company, and a company failing it is not a guarantee you'll have a bad one — it's a report on specific, checkable facts as of the date we looked. Your own situation, contract terms, and the company's current practices (which can change after our review date) all matter and are your responsibility to verify independently before paying anyone.

Accuracy and corrections

We make a genuine effort to verify every fact against primary or independently-corroborated sources before publishing (see our editorial policy), but we don't warrant that every page is complete or error-free at every moment. If you find an error, please tell us — see About — and we'll correct it.
